CopyQ – Advanced Clipboard Manager – Version 2.6.1 Released


CopyQ is an advanced clipboard manager available for all platforms including Ubuntu. It has some advanced features such as Searchable and editable history, image format supports, command line control and more.

Recently CopyQ 2.6.1 is released with more features and bug fixes.

How to install CopyQ in Ubuntu, Linux Mint – using Terminal

Install CopyQ 2.6.1 in Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial Xerus using PPA:

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:arindam/debugpoint
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install copyq

Download the deb files from below links from GitHub.

Download CopyQ 2.6.1 (64 bit)  Download CopyQ 2.6.1 (32 bit)

To install CopyQ 2.4.3 in Ubuntu using terminal run below commands in sequence. Enter password when prompted.

cd ~/Downloads/
sudo dpkg -i copyq_2.6.1_Ubuntu_15.10_amd64.deb
sudo dpkg -i copyq_2.6.1_Ubuntu_15.10_i386.deb


  • Type CopyQ in dash. Click the launcher icon.

How to uninstall

To uninstall CopyQ run below commands in terminal.

sudo dpkg -r copyq
