Calibre is a free and open source e-book library management application available in Ubuntu, Linux Mint and other Linux platforms.

How to install – using Terminal

To install Calibre latest release in Ubuntu using terminal run below commands in sequence. Enter password when prompted.

sudo -v && wget -nv -O- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kovidgoyal/calibre/master/setup/linux-installer.py | sudo python -c "import sys; main=lambda:sys.stderr.write('Download failed\n'); exec(sys.stdin.read()); main()"

Run

  • Type Calibre in dash. Click the launcher icon.
  • From Menu find it under Applications
