Corebird – A Native GTK+ Twitter Client for Linux Desktop.
Corebird is the best twitter client available in Ubuntu and other derivatives. It is lightweight with a native GTK+ interface and provides direct messages, tweet notifications, conversation views. How to Install Corebird
Corebird is available in universe repositories in Ubuntu. Launch Ubuntu Software in 16.04 LTS Xenial Xerus and search for Corebird and click install.
From terminal
To install Corebird, run below commands from terminal.
sudo apt-get install corebird
Once installed, you can launch it from application menu/ search it in Dash. After installation, you have to setup your twitter account. Corebird will ask for a one time PIN. Click the request PIN which will open twitter in your default browser, all you have to do it authenticate Corebird to twitter. Twitter will give you a PIN which you can use in Corebird to proceed.
